As I write this the Canada geese are splashing down in the pond. We have one dry day then another 2-3 inches of rain are to move in again. Yet more flooding.Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08354263970813874412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2381922366997546161.post-85947865512415953402011-03-07T02:13:27.619-08:002011-03-07T02:13:27.619-08:00How wonderful to have a nature reserve almost, of...How wonderful to have a nature reserve almost, of your very own. When we first moved to our old house here, there were fields and woods to the back. We knew that there was planning permission for houses, but hoped against hope that it may never come to fruition. And in any case, once I stepped into this house I knew it was ours, and had been waiting for us to find it. (My husband is more grounded and less fanciful and thought me mad! It was not looking its best internally when we viewed shall we say.) But the inevitable happened, the houses came, and gone were the views of pheasants and hares and rabbits and the occasional fox. Instead human beans, not my favourite!
Keen fan of raptors here and would love a couple of them for ourselves, but not possible.
It was lovely to step into your world outside Scott, thank you for sharing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2381922366997546161.post-74860999485678799172011-03-06T11:10:35.227-08:002011-03-06T11:10:35.227-08:00There is lots of good stuff that happens, but the ...There is lots of good stuff that happens, but the sad stuff is what sticks with me. I have never gotten over the owls. The raccoon with the big belly was a momma coon who kept raiding my feeder during the day a couple summers ago. When they're nursing, I go ahead and let them steal my seed. It is fun when they bring the babies back with them.Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08354263970813874412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2381922366997546161.post-37802553087633442342011-03-06T10:03:32.630-08:002011-03-06T10:03:32.630-08:00Love the photos!
